Honor Launches World’s Slimmest Foldable Phone ‘Magic V5’ in Bangladesh

Honor has launched its latest flagship foldable smartphone, the Magic V5, in Bangladesh on Monday, introducing it as the world’s slimmest foldable phone.

The launch event took place at the Renaissance Dhaka Gulshan Hotel and was attended by Honor Bangladesh officials, including Country Manager Lang Guo, Business Head Abdullah Al Mamun, Deputy Country Manager Muzahidul Islam, and representatives from various telecom companies.

Weighing 217 grams, the Magic V5 measures just 4.1mm when unfolded and 8.8mm when folded. The device has also set a Guinness World Record for durability by supporting a weight of 104 kg while suspended.

“The Honor Magic V5 was built to combine elegance and power. With crease-free folding technology and a next-generation silicon-carbon battery, this product reflects our dedication to redefining mobile experiences,” Lang Guo said during the launch.

The phone features a 7.95-inch inner display and a 6.43-inch outer display, both 120Hz LTPO OLED panels. Its advanced hinge mechanism ensures near crease-free folding, and it comes with IP58 and IP59 ratings for dust and water resistance.

Powered by Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 8 Elite processor, the Magic V5 offers up to 16GB RAM and 512GB storage. It debuts the world’s first 5,820mAh silicon-carbon battery with 25% silicon content, supporting 66W wired and 50W wireless Honor SuperCharge.

For photography enthusiasts, the Honor AI Falcon Camera System includes a 64MP periscope telephoto lens, a 50MP wide camera, and a 50MP ultra-wide camera with AI-powered imaging features.

The Magic V5 is priced at BDT 219,999 for the 16GB RAM + 512GB storage model. Pre-order customers can avail a discounted price of BDT 199,999 until August 30, along with gifts such as Honor Choice Headphones Pro, a 100W Honor SuperCharge Wireless Charger Stand, and up to 12 months of interest-free EMI options.

In addition, Honor introduced the Pad 10 tablet, which comes with 8GB RAM, 256GB storage, a Snapdragon 7 Gen processor, and a 10,100mAh battery with 35W SuperCharge support. The tablet weighs 525 grams, measures 6.29mm in thickness, is priced at BDT 39,999, and includes a Smart Stylus Pen.
