Grameenphone, Navana Pharma sign GP Shield cybersecurity pact
Grameenphone has entered into a corporate partnership with Navana Pharmaceuticals PLC to enhance the drugmaker’s cybersecurity using GP Shield, the operator’s DNS-layer protection service, the companies announced.
Under the agreement, Navana staff will use GP Shield across their devices to help block phishing, malware and ransomware at the DNS layer, supporting safer, uninterrupted internet access for employees.
The deal was recently signed by Dr. Asif Naimur Rashid, Chief Business Officer of Grameenphone, and Dr. Sayeed Ahmed, Acting Managing Director of Navana Pharmaceuticals. Senior executives from both organisations attended the signing.
Grameenphone said the collaboration is part of its effort to help enterprises “stay ahead of evolving cyber threats” and foster a culture of digital safety. At the same time, Navana framed the move as a way to strengthen its proactive posture on data and workforce protection.
Grameenphone describes GP Shield as an advanced DNS-security solution designed to stop threats before connections are made to malicious domains. The service has been rolled out more broadly across the operator’s enterprise portfolio this year.
Navana Pharmaceuticals, a listed company on the Dhaka Stock Exchange, says cybersecurity is a top priority as it scales operations, with the partnership aimed at safeguarding its digital ecosystem.
