Fingertips Innovations to launch ‘ShoppersLink’ e-commerce portal
Fingertips Innovations Limited, a joint-investment company in Bangladesh’s ICT sector, is set to launch ShoppersLink, billed as the country’s first e-commerce portal dedicated to Bangladeshi products.
The platform aims to serve as a central marketplace for goods made by local entrepreneurs and established businesses, allowing sellers to oversee every step of the process, from production to delivery to customers.
Executives said Bangladeshi software engineers have developed the portal and integrated the BonikBook enterprise resource planning service, described as meeting international standards.
They added that the venture aims to showcase Bangladeshi goods and their makers on the global stage, while supporting the country’s socio-economic development.
Fingertips Innovations and JCI Dhaka United, a chapter of Junior Chamber International (JCI), signed a memorandum of understanding on Tuesday (December 2).
Taufiqul Karim Suhrid, Managing Director and CEO of Fingertips Innovations, and Fahmidur Rahman Oni, President of JCI Dhaka United, signed the agreement.
Dr Mohammad Anamul Haque, incoming president of JCI Dhaka United, Rashedul Islam, Chief Technology Officer of Fingertips Innovations, and other members of JCI Dhaka United attended the ceremony.
Under the arrangement, any JCI entrepreneur or member will be able to market products on ShoppersLink for a nominal monthly fee that includes ERP services.
The partners said no commission on sales will be charged during an introductory period to encourage participation.
