Apple’s Siri Is Getting a Game-Changing AI Upgrade

Apple is rebuilding Siri for the AI era with major new capabilities coming with iOS 27. The upgraded Siri will be able to understand what’s displaye on an iPhone screen, use information across multiple apps, and complete multi-step tasks on behalf of users. 

The new Siri is designed to go beyond simple commands like setting alarms or playing music. It could find appointments in messages, identify information shared by friends, save recipes from Instagram, and work with more than 300,000 apps. Apple is also using Private Cloud Compute for some AI tasks, while Google’s Gemini is reportedly being used for certain AI features.
