Rancon has become the official distributor of JAC Motors in Bangladesh, taking over nationwide sales and after-sales support for the Chinese automaker’s vehicles.

The partnership was announced on Saturday (December 6) at a launch event at the International Convention City Bashundhara (ICCB) in Dhaka.

At the event, Rancon unveiled JAC Motors’ latest lineup for the local market, led by two new double-cabin 4×4 pickups – the T9 Hunter and the T8 – alongside newly introduced 1.5-ton and 3-ton commercial trucks.

According to the company, the T9 Hunter Double Cabin is powered by a 2-litre turbo-diesel engine paired with an 8-speed ZF automatic transmission and four-wheel drive.

The pickup features an electric sunroof, leather interior, a premium sound system and a 10.4-inch touchscreen with Apple CarPlay and Android support.

It delivers 410 Nm of torque, has 210 mm of ground clearance, front and rear disc brakes, 18-inch alloy wheels, LED headlights and power-adjustable front seats.

The T9 Hunter is priced at BDT 46.5 lakh, including a five-year or 100,000 km warranty.

The T8 Double Cabin 4×4 also uses a 2-litre turbo-diesel engine, this time mated to a 6-speed manual transmission. It produces 329 Nm of torque and offers 210 mm of ground clearance, along with 18-inch alloy wheels, LED headlights and fog lights, ABS, and a leather-trimmed interior featuring a multifunction steering wheel.

The T8 is priced at BDT 34.5 lakh and comes with the same five-year or 100,000 km warranty.

Rancon says the 1.5-ton and 3-ton commercial trucks have been engineered specifically for Bangladeshi road conditions and climate, and will be backed by its nationwide after-sales network, including spare parts support.

Speaking at the launch, Romo Rouf Chowdhury, Group Managing Director of Rancon Group, said there are already about 16,000 JAC vehicles operating in Bangladesh, which he described as evidence of their quality.

He added that JAC vehicles also offer substantial resale value for buyers.
