Shohoz Clarifies No Link Exists with ShohojCash
Online ticketing platform Shohoz has issued a formal clarification stating it has no connection or affiliation with ShohojCash, following reports and public confusion over the two similarly named entities.
In a statement this week, Shohoz emphasized that Shohoz and ShohojCash are entirely separate companies with no business or operational ties.
The misunderstanding began after a national daily published an advertisement introducing ShohojCash as a new mobile financial service.
The announcement led many to mistakenly associate it with Shohoz, a trusted name in Bangladesh’s online ticketing industry, despite distinct differences in spelling and branding.
Shortly after the advertisement appeared, Bangladesh Bank released an advisory warning the public that ShohojCash had neither received approval nor applied to operate mobile financial services in the country, urging people not to engage in financial transactions with the entity.
Shohoz welcomed the central bank’s swift action, saying it protected public interest and helped dispel confusion.
Chief Human Resources Officer and Chief Corporate Communications Officer at Shohoz Colonel Md Aminul Haque, BGBM, PPMS (retd.) reaffirmed the company’s stance on transparency and ethical service. “Shohoz has always stood for trust and openness,” he said. “We assure our users and partners that Shohoz has absolutely no link with any entity called ShohojCash. Copying an established brand’s name only creates confusion and unnecessary problems.”
A long-standing and trusted player in Bangladesh’s digital services sector, Shohoz continues to serve millions with reliable and innovative online ticketing solutions, prioritizing transparency, compliance, and service quality.
The company expressed gratitude to its users, partners, and the media for their trust and urged everyone to verify official information only through Shohoz’s authorized platforms.
