Digital Device & Innovation Expo 2026 kicks off January 29

A three-day technology showcase titled Digital Device and Innovation Expo 2026 will begin on January 29 and run until January 31, under the theme “Bangladesh to the World.”

The Information and Communication Technology (ICT) Division, the Bangladesh Hi-Tech Park Authority (BHTPA) and the Bangladesh Computer Samity (BCS) will jointly organise the event.

The announcement was made at a press conference on December 29 at the Bangladesh Computer Council (BCC) auditorium in Agargaon, Dhaka.

Speaking at the briefing, ICT Division Secretary Shish Haider Chowdhury said Bangladesh was no longer only a user of technology, but was emerging as a reliable global hub for technology production and exports.

He also described the growing public interest in using digital devices as a positive sign of the country’s progress in the sector.

BHTPA Managing Director Md. Mamunur Rashid Bhuiyan, BHTPA Member (Investment and Park Coordination) Mohammad Saiful Hasan, BCS President Mohammad Zahirul Islam, and BCS Secretary General Mohammed Monirul Islam also addressed the press conference.

The expo will be hosted at the Bangladesh-China Friendship Conference Centre across about 6,500 square metres, divided into multiple zones including local manufacturers, product showcases, innovation, meetings with international manufacturers, digital lifestyle, mega sales, seminars and B2B matchmaking.

According to the organisers, the programme will feature locally manufactured technology products, firms marketing international brands, startups, innovations from public and private universities, and seminars and panel discussions supported by international partners. They expect about 300,000 visitors over the three days.

The expo has been designed with a special focus on attracting domestic and foreign investment.

Organisers said a new logo featuring a clenched fist has been adopted to align with the slogan “Bangladesh to the World”, symbolising the role of people’s talent, labour and innovative capacity in advancing the country’s technology ambitions.

A total of 130 pavilions and stalls will showcase new products, services and innovations from local and international organisations, government projects, ICT bodies and startups.
