NVIDIA has announced a series of new partnerships with major South Korean companies, including SK Hynix, SK Telecom, Naver, Doosan Group, and LG Group, as it works to strengthen its AI ecosystem and secure critical hardware supplies.

The agreements were unveiled during Nvidia CEO Jensen Huang’s visit to South Korea, where he met with leading business executives and discussed future AI initiatives. Financial details of the deals were not disclosed.

One of the most significant agreements involves SK Hynix, which signed a multi-year technology partnership with Nvidia to develop advanced memory solutions for AI data centers. Huang described SK Hynix as Nvidia’s largest memory partner and said the relationship is expected to grow substantially in the coming years.

The partnership comes as demand for high-bandwidth memory (HBM) chips continues to surge due to rapid expansion in artificial intelligence, data centers, robotics, AI-powered PCs and supercomputers.

SK Telecom also revealed plans to build a gigawatt-scale AI cloud infrastructure in South Korea using Nvidia technology. The first AI data center under the initiative is expected to begin operations in 2027.

Meanwhile, internet giant Naver and industrial conglomerate Doosan Group will use Nvidia technologies to support the development of AI data centers. Doosan also plans to integrate Nvidia’s physical AI technologies into its robotics and industrial solutions.

NVIDIA is further expanding its collaboration with LG Group, focusing on AI, electronics, mechanical systems and humanoid robot development. The two companies are also working together on future data center architecture, including cooling systems, power delivery and facility design.

The announcements highlight South Korea’s growing importance in the global AI supply chain, particularly as companies race to secure advanced semiconductors and build next-generation AI infrastructure. Despite a broader decline in global technology stocks, Huang expressed confidence in the industry’s future, stating that demand for AI technologies remains strong and long-term growth prospects remain positive.
