WhatsApp is one of the world’s most widely used social media and messaging platforms, developed by Meta Platforms — the parent company of Facebook.

In addition to text messaging, the app supports both audio and video calling.

Many users may not realise that WhatsApp calls can be recorded. However, WhatsApp does not offer any official in-app feature to record voice or video calls.

Instead, call recording is possible through third-party applications. One such option is Call Recorder – Cube ACR, available via the Google Play Store.

After installing the app, users can open WhatsApp and place a voice call. Once the call begins, Cube ACR starts recording automatically, saving the file to the phone’s internal storage.

To locate previously recorded calls, users can check their phone’s file manager. If the recordings do not appear there, they can also be accessed directly within the Cube ACR app.

The same app is also available for iPhone users.

The guide also warns that recording calls can be inappropriate and stresses that users should seek permission from the person on the other end before recording any conversation.
