WhatsApp Adds 4 New Features to Group Chats

WhatsApp is rolling out four new features designed to make group chats more useful, organized, and easier to manage.

In this video, we take a closer look at the four new WhatsApp group chat features:

1. Pin Messages Indefinitely: Users can now keep important messages pinned at the top of a group chat without setting an expiration time.
2. Share Recent Chat History: Existing group members can share recent messages with newly added members, helping them catch up on previous discussions. WhatsApp says these shared messages remain protected by end-to-end encryption.
3. Group-Specific Status Updates: Users can share status updates exclusively with members of selected groups. Like regular status updates, these disappear after 24 hours.
4. New Message Filters:A dedicated filter helps users find messages where they were mentioned or directly replied to, including messages containing the @all mention.

The features are being rolled out gradually, so they may not be available to everyone at the same time. Watch the video to learn how these updates could improve your everyday WhatsApp group experience.
